It’s finally the sales season, and the numerous discounts are making our heads spin – at least, they are for me. For some, it’s the season of wardrobe renewal: jeans, polo shirts, t-shirts and everything in between. It’s simple: the bigger the discount, the fuller our bags, and the same goes for sim-racing.

Many brands are currently offering promotions on one or more models from their product catalogs. Logitech, for example, is offering its G29 and G923 with an €80 discount, which is a real bargain if you’re new to sim-racing. With €80, you’ll be able to afford a sim-arcade or simu title to launch you into the incredible adventure that is racing simulation, with a setup that’s more or less good.

But there’s one brand that has really stood out from the crowd by offering a discount that hasn’t gone unnoticed. I’m talking about Fanatec, of course , with its CSL DD bases, which are almost half price right now, at €200 for the 5 nm and €300 for the 8 nm!

A quick look at the new Fanatec promotion

Sim-racing fans know that German sim-racing peripherals manufacturer Fanatec often offers its products with discounts. But Fanatec’s latest promo more or less caught the competition off guard when the brand offered the 5 nm CSL DD base, CSL P1 V2 steering wheel and CSL Pedals pedalboard for €399.85 including VAT and delivery ! And for just €100 more, you can get the boost kit that will boost the base’s power to 8 nm of torque.

It’s worth noting that the “normal” price of this base is €350, and that with the special offer, the price drops to €200 incl. VAT. This is unprecedented in the world of sim-racing, with a Direct Drive base sold at such a reduced price. As a result, the CSL DD bundle’s direct competitors are no longer bundles like the Moza Racing R5, which is on special offer at $500 before tax, by the way, but the Logitech G29/G923 and Thrustmaster T300RS/GT, which are sold for around €400.

How can I take advantage of the Fanatec promotion?

Fanatec’s promotion concerns its 5 and 8 nm CSL DD bases, with any of the steering wheels and pedalboards in its product catalog. So, to take advantage of the discounts on the bases, you’ll need to configure a bundle (or take one already pre-configured by Fanatec) with a CSL DD 5 nm (€200) or 8 nm (€300), a CSL, Podium or ClubSport steering wheel, and a CSL or ClubSport crankset.

When you choose your bundle, you’ll automatically have access to Fanatec’s CSL bases promotion. For example, you can take the 5 nm CSL DD, the CSL P1 V2 steering wheel and the CSL Pedals for €399.85 incl. VAT and delivery. You can also take the 8 nm CSL DD, the CSL McLaren GT3 V2 and the CSL Elite Pedals V2 in Load Cell for €699.80 incl. VAT, which is frankly an excellent setup with Load Cell pedals, a GT3-style steering wheel and 8 nm of torque produced by the base.

You’ll find additional information on the Fanatec website, such as product availability (some products may be on pre-order due to high demand), sales prices, promotions and even delivery times.
