Fanatec has just announced free shipping on its entire range of sim-racing products, effective February 6, 2025. It can be read on the brand’s forum, and also via a link on its home page, that all products are now affected by free delivery to the “mainlands”, or continents to the more intimate. This means that certain destinations will not have access to free delivery, such as Martinique, which is part of France but not on the continent.

This free delivery was already offered by Fanatec, but only during sales periods. During Black Friday , for example, we often saw products flagged with free delivery. From now on, however, this will be the case for the brand’s entire catalog, except for product repair services and Express delivery, which will continue to be offered at the same rate.

Free delivery at the price of more expensive products from now on

Free delivery cannot exist in our society, and its cost has to be compensated for somewhere. At Fanatec, it’s part of the sim-racing range that is seeing its selling price revised upwards. According to the German manufacturer, it’s the adoption of QR2 on all sim-racing wheels that has increased their selling price.

Since the launch of Quick Release 2, Fanatec has been aiming to equip all its compatible wheels with it. And after almost 1 year, this is the case, with not only the wheels, but also several older bases now delivered with the QR2.

As far as I’m concerned, this free delivery is a good deal for the rider who will be able to better equip himself in sim-racing with the price difference.
