Without warning, Fanatec has just announced two bundles from the Ready2Race range on special offer in its store. These are the Gran Turismo DD Extreme and the ClubSport Racing Wheelwhich we all know from the Fanatec range, but with one exception this time: the addition of the ClubSport Pedals V3 ! Yes, you read that right: Fanatec has bundled its flagship pedalboard with a Direct Drive base worthy of the name, and is offering the whole package for €1,500 on the official store.
Ready2Race Gran Turismo DD Extreme Bundle + V3 Crankset

Let’s start with this bundle. It integrates the ClubSport DD+ and its 15 nm of constant torque, which is rather rare in the industry, and reserved only for elitist peripherals. We also find the Gran Turismo steering wheel, but in a revised 2024 version with slightly premium materials such as leatherette around the wheel and some metal controls. As far as I’m concerned, it’s still a tiny step up from the steering wheel it replaces, but the use of plastic is still in the majority. And to round things off, and above all to make this bundle a lot more attractive in my opinion, Fanatec has put the ClubSport Pedals V3, which is quite simply the top-of-the-range of its pedalboards, on sale.
This bundle is offered at €1,500, with a €130 reduction on the initial sale price, which isn’t much in absolute terms (less than 10%), but it’s still a bargain.
The Ready2Race ClubSport Racing Wheel + V3 Crankset Bundle

This bundle, like the Gran Turismo DD, was already present in Fanatec’s Ready2Race range, and the brand has simply added the ClubSport Pedals V3. So it’s still the ClubSport DD+ and the Formula Steering Wheel F1 for PS5. Theoretically, this wheel is brand-new to the Fanatec catalog, but in reality it’s based on the Formula V2.5 with more premium materials, such as forged carbon fiber on the faceplate.
Fanatec’s F1 bundle also sells for €1,500, but this time at a discount of €180, which is not bad, I must say.
Which one to choose?
Now that’s a good question. On the one hand, you have a typical touring or even GT bundle, which can be used for more or less anything and everything in sim-racing, but whose wheel quality leaves something to be desired in relation to the asking price.
And on the other hand, you have a Formula-type bundle which will be used mainly for F1 and F3 races, and also on prototypes, and where the quality is really premium (I’m talking about the wheel). Personally, I’m leaning towards the Formula bundle, and with the money you save, you can even afford a quality CSL wheel, or even a ClubSport wheel on special offer.
