Sim-racing peripherals manufacturer Fanatec has just unveiled 2 new products that will complete its catalog in the first quarter of 2026, and this time the target audience is the very high-end.

Around 1 year ago, Fanatec launched the renewal of its product range with the launch of a Direct Drive ClubSport base: the DD, and its Clubsport DD+ variant, developing 12 and 15 nm of constant torque respectively. Today, however, it’s the Podium range’s turn to get a facelift, and one long-awaited by seasoned sim-racing drivers.

An all-new Direct Drive base replaces the Podium DD2 with its 25 nm of peak torque. This base is simply called Podium DD, and it develops 25 nm of torque, but constant this time, with an overboost function that increases power to 33 nm of torque for short periods, enough to give you a good dose of feeling in your arms.

In terms of design, the new base is largely inspired by the ClubSport DD, and I can only imagine that Fanatec is seeking to simplify its catalog visually, making all bases virtually identical at first glance. The cabinet is entirely aluminum, as are many of the device’s internal components. The new Podium DD is compact, with a 10 cm driveshaft extension, and uses FullForce technology to let you feel the slightest feedback from the vehicle and the track.

To complete this new base, Fanatec has also unveiled a new pedalboard, the Podium Pedals. Until now, only the ClubSport Pedals have been considered Fanatec’s top-of-the-range peripherals, but that’s about to change.

This crankset offers a whole new perspective on the Load Cell, with a forged aluminum brake pedal capable of withstanding up to 200 kg of force, which is literally more than double that of the ClubSport V3.

What’s more, the brake incorporates a series of elastomers to regulate braking to the nearest kilogram. This crankset is equipped with a clutch and accelerator pedal, and all 3 are supplied with Hall sensors.

In terms of design, it’s truly magnificent, with an all-black exterior dotted with gold and red elements. Each pedal is individual, but a bracket will be available to hold them together.

We can’t wait to test these new Fanatec peripherals and see how they stack up against the competition from Asetek or Simucube. All we have to do now is wait until the first quarter of 2026 to get our hands on them, and find out how much they’ll cost.
