Gamescom 2024 has come to a close, and it has to be said that we’ve had our fill of sim-racing peripherals. Several brands were present at the German show, including Thrustmaster which is trying to catch up with its competitors, and also Moza which is going on the offensive.
For the Chinese manufacturer of sim-racing peripherals, several new products were presented at Gamescom 2024, and we’ll try to cover them in what follows.
CRP2 pedalboard and mBooster add-on
The logical sequel to the CRP, the CRP2 is a new crankset that attempts to correct the missteps of its predecessor, especially in terms of reliability. Seasoned riders are well aware that Moza’s top-of-the-range crankset is temperamental, with difficulties in adjusting the pedals, in addition to a reliability that is often lacking.
The CRP2 doesn’t change as much as its predecessor, with an aluminum structure, carbon fiber, a 200 kg Load Cell and an identical selling price, which leads us to believe that it will eventually replace the CRP. But the change is in the pedal settings, which can now be adapted to any virtual rider, and in reliability too. The CRP2 is currently available for pre-order, should you wish to purchase it when it becomes available.
The mBooster is an add-on for the CRP2 that actively simulates pedal feel, in the style of Simucube‘s Active Pedals. But the difference is that the mBooster is less expensive, and can be used as a brake, clutch and accelerator pedal. It’s sure to be a thrill to race with.
The MA3X joystick

This joystick completes Moza’s Flight range, being a less expensive option than the MH16. The MA3X is more basic in design, with fewer controls, implying that it is aimed at pilots of civil and commercial aircraft.
This MA3X is compatible with the Moza AB9 base, and that’s a good thing as far as I’m concerned, as it allows for a highly customizable and not entirely segmented ecosystem. As for price, the MA3X will cost €89 and is currently available for pre-order on the brand’s website.
ESX and Porsche steering wheels
The steering wheel from the R3 bundle is now available as a standalone item in Moza’s catalog, which will please many PC racers. The ESX is the same as the R3, with a diameter of 280 mm, PU leather, 22 controls and an aluminum frame.
As for Porsche, Moza has confirmed its collaboration with the German sports car manufacturer on a new sim-racing steering wheel.
Multi-Function Stalks

This commodo for Moza steering wheels is designed to add an extra layer of immersion for riders, especially those on open roads. You get a turn signal that automatically resets, cruise control and up to 28 programmable controls. This add-on costs around €180.
