The Simagic Neo X-330T in a nutshell

Advantages & Disadvantages
✅ Premium steering wheel
✅ Available in several variations
✅ Good racing ergonomics
❌ A diameter that won’t please everyone
Simagic no longer really needs to be introduced as a manufacturer of sim-racing peripherals. The brand is present in several segments and markets, offering quality, high-performance products at prices competitive with Fanatec or Moza Racing.
In Simagic’s steering wheel catalog, we have the Neo X range. The idea is quite simple: a hub that is shared by several wheels, each with a different diameter and shape, just like the sim-racing competitions targeted. Today, we’re testing the 330T, a wheel with a round wheel, premium design and superb build quality.
Main and technical features of the steering wheel
- Steering wheel series available in several versions, from 31 cm to 35 cm in diameter
- CNC-machined aluminum structure for all flywheel variants
- Leather-covered headband, with stitching in different colors
- Wheels available in full-round and rectangular formats
- 14 hub-mounted controls with 4 rear-mounted paddles
- RevLED on top of the hub
- Magnetic gearshift paddles with adjustable spacing
- Simagic QR on rear with USB-C socket on hub for connection to PCs
- Compatible with Windows and the entire Simagic ecosystem, plus other DD bases if you swap the QR
330 T wheel design

The 330T is an all-round steering wheel, with imitation leather on the hoop, and bright orange stitching reminiscent of Fanatec’s WRC steering wheel. In fact, I think Simagic clearly had this steering wheel in mind when designing the 330T.
So, this wheel looks good with its dominating black, the Simagic logo in the center of the faceplate, the carbon fiber hub behind the steering wheel, and the orange accents. The design is frankly beautiful, simple and discreet, if you omit the orange of course, and it’s very well suited to the 330T’s target discipline: rallying.
Customized assembly
On the back of the steering wheel is Simagic’s Quick Release, derived from the D1-Spec. Connection to the base is wireless, and if you’re on an ecosystem other than Simagic’s, a USB-C socket is available on the rear for direct connection to PCs.
To mount the 330T on any base, simply pull the QR, align the two elements and insert. The connection is solid, with no flex on the drive shaft. Unlike Fanatec, which offers 3 different Quick Releases in its range, Simagic uses just one for all its bases, from 9 to 25 nm torque.
Wheel manufacture and finishing
The wheel uses an all-aluminum structure machined using CNC machines. For the roll bar, we use well-made imitation leather, which is smooth on the 330T. This material is virtually in one piece across the entire wheel arch, indicating a high level of quality.
In terms of finish, this is a mid-range Simagic product. Frankly, it’s well made, with attention to detail. Even inspecting the steering wheel from the rear, there are no manufacturing or assembly defects. The paintwork on the faceplate is superb, the hub is well assembled, and all the 330T’s controls are responsive when pressed.

Handling the steering wheel
Speaking of controls, let’s get to grips with the 330T. Simagic’s steering wheel features 14 controls on the hub, 4 paddles on the rear and a RevLED. Everything is cleverly placed to optimize grip during racing. Controls, whether buttons or rotarys/switches, are accessible on the fly.
As for the paddles, the top ones are used for shifting gears, they are magnetic and you can adjust their spacing. The bottom ones are used for dual clutch, clutch, gas pedal, or anything in between. Unfortunately, they are not adjustable, and not magnetic. Nevertheless, their location is ideal for racing use, with a good size to boot.
Sensations during play
Once installed, the Neo X 330T proves to be a very good steering wheel for sim-racing competitions such as rallying, drifting, touring and even GT. It’s true that its 330 mm diameter is a bit large for most GT competitions, but it’s perfectly possible to use it in GT3, for example.
In-game sensations with the 330T were very good, naturally in line with those of competing wheels from Simagic’s offering. The structure is very solid when running, and I didn’t feel or notice any flex at all, either on the hoop or the faceplate.
As for the imitation leather used throughout the rollbar, it’s well made, and also promotes grip on the steering wheel. Your hands have a natural driving position at 9:15, offering a good grip, less stress on arms and shoulders, and potentially longer sim-racing sessions.
Simagic’s 330T is a steering wheel that stands up well to racing, especially if you put it with a DD base that puts out at least 10-12 nm of torque. On rally stages, its size and ergonomics have proved formidable in the various theaters of the WRC world championship.
Steering wheel compatibility
Using Simagic’s current Quick Release, the 330T is compatible with all the brand’s Direct Drive bases, whether the new Alpha Evo or the standard Alpha.
In terms of platforms, the Neo X 330T is limited to PCs only, as is the entire Simagic ecosystem. However, thanks to the USB-C socket on the back of the wheel, you’re not restricted to Simagic products, because if you have a hub with QR for your base, you’ll be able to use this wheel on virtually any sim-racing setup.

Value for money
Priced at around €370, it’s certainly more expensive than a Fanatec CSL WRC, at around €220, but Simagic’s 330T is of much higher quality. In fact, I prefer to compare this steering wheel with those in Fanatec’s ClubSport range, to have a fair comparison.
As for value for money, I think it’s pretty good for the range and the target audience. It’s true that a 33 cm diameter isn’t ideal for many riders, but for those looking for a versatile round wheel, the 330T comes at a reasonable price given the build quality, materials used and features on offer.
My verdict on Simagic’s Neo X-330T steering wheel
The Neo X 330T turns out to be a good all-round steering wheel, except of course for single-seaters due to its shape and diameter. It’s a real Swiss Army knife that can be used for drifting, rallying, touring, GT3 and other virtual motorsport disciplines.
It’s good-looking, high quality, made from premium materials, and reasonably priced (under €400). If you’re looking for a versatile wheel, I highly recommend the Neo X 330T. It won’t disappoint you, even if you plan to keep it on your setup for a long time.
