Next Level Racing is launching the F-GT Shift, a cockpit that switches from GT mode to Formula mode without tools. According to the company, the switch takes less than 5 seconds. It is available for pre-order at €499, the price of the original F-GT. Until now, this quick-switch feature was a key selling point of the F-GT Pro, which sells for twice as much.
The F-GT Shift: a steel frame and a mesh seat

The F-GT Shift joins Next Level Racing’s F-GT family. Its chassis is made of 42-mm-diameter steel tubing, with cast metal joints. The reclining seat is made of SIMAERO Mesh, a mesh fabric stretched over its frame like a hammock. The box also includes a reinforced gearshift arm, which can be mounted on either side. The steering wheel, base, and pedal set shown in the manufacturer’s photos are sold separately.
Switch between Formula and GT modes in less than 5 seconds

The seat adjustment is handled by the Quick Fold mechanism, for which the brand has filed a patent application. According to Next Level Racing, it switches the cockpit from the GT position to the Formula position in less than 5 seconds and without tools. In the Formula position, the driver sits much lower with their legs extended, whereas the GT position keeps the seat elevated. In the official images, the rear leg of the seat folds down to lower the seat.
The brand also plans to offer a hybrid configuration, halfway between a single-seater and a GT. The Shift’s other adjustments can also be made without tools: the pedal plate, the rear footrest, the seatback angle, and the height of the steering wheel plate.
Up to 15 Nm recommended for drivers between 120 and 200 cm
The chassis is compatible with Direct Drive bases, load-cell pedals, and gearshift levers from major brands, according to Next Level Racing, which specifically mentions Fanatec, MOZA, Simucube, and Thrustmaster. For the base, the recommended torque is capped at 15 Nm, even though the chassis has been tested up to 25 Nm: beyond that, stability will depend on the settings and the position of the base. The cockpit accommodates drivers between 120 and 200 cm tall, weighing up to 150 kg.

It is 148 cm long and 58.5 cm wide, and weighs 23.1 kg—less than half the 49.5 kg of the F-GT Pro. Wheels hidden at the front of the chassis allow you to move it by lifting the rear, without having to remove the steering wheel or pedals. To add vibrations, the HF8 and HF8 Pro haptic pads—sold separately—slide under the seat fabric.
The F-GT Pro’s fast switching, at the price of the F-GT
The original F-GT, still available from the brand for €499, already offers the Formula position, the GT position, and a hybrid setting. The Shift maintains this price and adds the ability to switch positions in just a few seconds, without tools. Until now, Next Level Racing had highlighted this feature on the F-GT Pro, which sells for €999—twice the price.
The Next Level Racing F-GT Shift is available for pre-order for €499 on the official store, with shipping scheduled for November.
A Dedicated Monitor Mount in January 2027
The brand is also developing the F-GT Shift Direct Monitor Mount, a mount that attaches the monitor directly to the cockpit. It is adjustable for height, angle, and distance, and accommodates flat-panel monitors ranging from 27 to 55 inches, as well as ultra-wide models up to 49 inches. It is available for pre-order at €129, with shipping scheduled for January 2027. Its adjustments allow the monitor to be positioned facing the driver, in both Formula and GT configurations.
