Pimax’s Summer Carnival 2026 is on, until July 10. It’s a great opportunity to upgrade your VR setup, as long as you know where to look: not all the offers are price drops, and the key lies elsewhere. Here’s what you need to know about sim racing.

The only real discount: the Crystal Super QLED

Pimax Crystal Super Sim racing VR headset

Only one outright discount stands out: the Crystal Super QLED drops to $1,599 from the usual $1,799, or $200 less. This is appreciable for a headset of this level, renowned for its clarity in reading instruments on the track. The Crystal Super 8K Micro-OLED, meanwhile, retains its $2,199 price tag.

Dream Air and Crystal Light: pricing update

For the rest, prices are stable, which at least allows us to plan without surprises. The Crystal Light is priced at $899. In the recent range, prices are now known:

  • Dream Air SE: $899.
  • Dream Air classic: $1,999, with Sony Micro-OLED panels.

With these models, the interest of the operation lies elsewhere than in the price.

The real attraction: free accessories

Bonus items are where this Summer Carnival really comes into its own, with Pimax offsetting stable prices with included accessories:

  • DMAS audio strap included with every single Crystal headset (Light or Super, excluding bundles). Normally a chargeable item, it counts towards immersion: it’s the real benefit of the operation.
  • 80 trade-in bonus if you already own an old VR headset (exact eligibility to be checked on the Pimax website).
  • Dream Air range: free lens mount and 50% off DMAS strap.

Assessment: should you give in?

All in all, it’s a value-added operation rather than a sell-off. It’s especially relevant for those already aiming for a Pimax: the DMAS offered and the trade-in make a real difference. For the undecided, on the other hand, these accessories don’t replace the need: Pimaxes remain a demanding purchase, which also presupposes a solid PC. It’s best to be sure you want to take the plunge before looking at the price.

Practical reminder: prices shown are in dollars, exclusive of tax. VAT and local import taxes will be added to the payment, with the final price displayed on the Pimax validation page. Please factor this into your budget.
